Does anyone know if a list of every HBB episode exists with date & quests? It would be nice to have a checklist so you could keep track of what you have and what you need.

I don't think so were just gonna half to put all of are lists togeather to make a database.Also if we can remember guest that were on in a certain year for shows that are not listed yet.I think there already trying to do this on the site anyways.Iam sure eventually a list can be compiled.

Yes that's basically the purpose of this site. I was always getting shows with the wrong dates or no dates at all and I hate that so I threw this list together to try make sense of it all. There's still some work to do to the lists but it's alot of information to sort out.
If you guys have any information on shows by all means drop me an e-mail and I'll add them to the list. It's to help us all out that are into collecting HBB shows. Just go to the front page headbangersball.fortunecity.com all the years are listed on the left and if you click on the years it has information regarding shows, hosts, guest hosts, etc.

I know a way we can find some of the dates out for some shows we don't know.You can find old calendars online easily and then use HBB shows you do have to get some dates if there fro certain periods of the shows history.

Also in part 1993 and 1994 they use to tell which guest were gonna be on in advance and give the date for the Saturday they would be on.

On the last HBB episode ever they list dates for certain shows on long with the clip.But I was checking them out they messed up and used Sundays dates.So you can just use the Saturday date before that for the list for shows we have or don't have.

For awhile they did those flashbacks we can also get dates from those.Just check them with a calendar to make sure there Saturdays dates and not Sundays dates.

I don't know why MTV did that on that show I know technically it was on Sunday but in some parts of the country and for many years it started at 11 or earlier.Also many people don't consider Saturday over technically tell they go to sleep.Also they always advertised HBB as a Saturday show.So someone messed up or thats the way they store them at MTV by east coast dates,of air.

Yeah that's what I did to start was I went back and got all the dates for Saturdays from 87 through 95 and then just started filling it in with the dates and shows that were known.
Dates that I had for shows that were actually on a Sunday, I just changed them to Saturday dates.
For example: If a show date I had was 6/21 but 6/21 was a Sunday then I just went with 6/20.
I always thought of HBB as being on, on Saturday too so I just use the Saturday dates.
Except for the the Halloween show with Alice Cooper hosting from 10/31/89 that show fell on a Tuesday I think.
Then I had come up with some other ways to find dates or guests for shows that were unknown.
I had to watch and listen closely to the shows that I had for clues, like mentions of band members birthdays, album releases, and things like that or when they would mention who is gonna be the guest/host on next weeks show and make note of it. Or the host mentioning that (insert band name here) hosted last week and making note of it. Things like that have helped me to fill in some of the gaps.
And some people have provided dates for some shows since I started the site like donniec and wyldcat and some others here on the boards have helped out. I get some e-mails sometimes giving me information on shows too. I've found some shows and information on ebay and also just looking through other peoples trading lists/sites for shows that I haven't seen or heard of before and then I check them against this list for any that are missing.
Those are just some of the ways I've went about putting together what we have so far. Any other techniques or any help is greatly appreciated. Or if anybody has connections with MTV or knows somebody at MTV that can get all of the info we need...get on the case. It could make this all alot easier...LOL!
