Just wanted to say.. This site has brought back some wonderful memories of my teenage years, from 15- 18, when I lived for Saturday nights at Grandma's house. She had cable, so I would stay over every weekend to record my videos and watch Riki and whomever he was interviewing that night. I still have my old tapes. Just not a VCR I hold these songs and the memories of how things were back then close to my heart. The Ball captured the essence of metal, packaged it up and gave it a certain vibe that was unique to the Ball. I would go back if I could, just to have another listen, breathe the summer air, watch myself at 15 rocking out to Ozzy, Megadeth, and all, feel the freedom and the sweet ache of wanting to be a part of that heavy metal world. Oh, those were the days. I miss the Ball. I miss being that happy, fun-loving rockerchick. Thanks...

Thank you. Words cannot describe how much I miss the Ball and those years when metal was everywhere you looked. Aside from HBB, I miss Metal Edge and the metal- driven radio stations we had, like K- Rock and The Force. I know we are all getting older, I just can't give up on something that I love so much.

You're welcome metalangel and I think most of us here would agree with you on missing the way it used to be! As well as missing all of the old metal magazines, radio and everything, metal was everywhere back then when it exploded. That's also part of what this site is about is to hopefully incite a little nostalgia in all of us that remember Headbangers Ball and the great bands and music that came out of it! So, I'm glad the site brought back some good memories for you!
