Anybody know the date of this, and was it the next week after Kevin Seal was off the show? How does everyone feel about Curry compared to other hosts?

The last Kevin Seal show I have (and that I know of) is from 3/26/88. The earliest Adam Curry show I have (and that I know of) is from 7/9/88. The only shows I’m aware of in between those dates had guest hosts (Bruce Dickinson, Frehley’s Comet, and I think GNR) so I’m guessing that Kevin left, maybe sometime in April, and then they had guests fill in until they got another full time host: Adam Curry.
Back in the day, Adam was my favorite host. Looking back, Adam was definitely the most professional host and did a good job, however I feel like he wasn’t really a fan of the music the way Riki was.

>_< I don'[t feel that Riki was a true fan of metal. I apologize if it offends, but I thought he was such a great metal dude, too, untill I started seeing stuff about him years after the Ball was taken from us... from what I have heard, he basically traveled all over on MTV's dime, ate up the celeb status (such as it was), hung out with metal's gods and finest, and never really cared for the music like a true metalhead would. Gerri Miller was the bomb. She may never have been on tv, but she put together an awesome mag, and she really did appreciate metal, it's people, and it's way of life. Metal Edge fell apart after she left. But back to Riki. The only thing I will give him is, at least he kept it believable on-air. Since I am only 33, and didn't truly discover metal untill I was 15 in 1992, it was his voice I heard every Saturday night. So if I heard him speaking and closed my eyes, I'd be there again. He did a decent job as host. I just wish he actually was a metal fan. Scott Ian-- now THERE'S a metalhead's metalhead. LOL he would have been cool.
